Ipad vs win8
Seeing as how the ipad is in its second generation and win8 is still in development (a year away from release) it seems unfair to compare them. In the same breath i’m totally blown away at how awesome win8 is. FINALLY something different. IOS shows its age beside the new contender. Although Microsoft seem to be in a tricky situation.
Whether win8 succeeds or fails will depend on the ecosystem aligned with win8 OS, Which explains why they released win phone 7 first to jump start the developers and apparently its only one extra line of code to make current phone apps work on win8 OS.
Microsoft also has to keep developers interested and to do this they had to show their cards publicly. This is fantastic for Apple as they only have to add features to their current OS to keep their rising share of the market. Can apple innovate that much in one year? If apple copies windows to much will they lose some trendy cred? what will google do?
